First Tour of My Classroom!

June 21, 2016

Okay... this post is going to be FULL of excitement! :)

I have FABULOUS NEWS...

I have officially accepted a first grade teaching position!!! :D

and...

it is for the same grade AND school that I student-taught in!

I am feeling beyond blessed to finally start my dream career with an amazing school and team that I have already had the pleasure of working with during my senior year of college. I am also feeling very fortunate to have been hired this early in the summer because I now have more time to prepare for my first year of teaching! Plus... as part of my graduation gift, I am going to Kauai for a month in July! [My mom is the best and we have family members who live there!] Due to this vacation, I will be on a time-crunch to have everything for my classroom ready-to-go when I return in August! [however... not complaining ;D]

I would LOVE to hear any tips or suggestions you have for helping me get ready for my first year! If you have not already, please subscribe  to follow along on my journey and leave me comments with your best kept secrets! :) Thank you to all who have already subscribed!

Now, to get to the point of this post... A TOUR OF MY CLASSROOM

Today was the last day of the school year and I decided to go to the school and visit my students from this past year [Like mentioned, I just finished student-teaching at this school!]

My previous mentor took me to the room that will be my classroom this upcoming school year.

The teacher currently occupying the room still has a few of her belongings in it, but I was too excited I just couldn't wait to take pictures!

Below is the [panoramic] view from the main door...

...and below is the [panoramic] view from the door that connects my room to another teammates room!

Below are a few more pictures of different views around the room!

Again, the supplies still in the classroom belong to the teacher who used this room this past school year... so next time I get to come in, it will be much more empty!

But getting to see it for the first time today definitely made me super excited!

I already have ideas in mind about my room theme and the many decorations that I can't wait to create with my Cricut... stay tuned for my classroom updates and be sure to subscribe so that you don't miss my post where I reveal my classroom theme! :)

Thank you so much for reading!

Also, I have created a Facebook Page to join my blog, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, and Teachers Pay Teachers account!

[social media crazed over here! lol]

Please check it out, "like" it, and "share" it! It would mean the world to me. :) Thank you all for the support as I enter this first year!
